On August 3, 1979, Rev. Howard Pittman, realizing that he was about to die, prayed that he would be permitted the privilege of going before the throne of God to ask for an extension on his life.

He was granted this privilege and much about the nature of demons, God, as well as the condition and future of humanity was revealed to him during his journey through the spirit realm.

On June 19, 2004, a South African family had a serious car accident. The accident left their 12 year old son, Aldo McPherson, in a coma and on life support.

God did a number of miracles for Aldo and his family. God allowed Aldo to experience heaven and then asked Aldo to share a message with the world. God also taught Aldo and his family — especially his mother Retha McPherson — how to speak life and restoration over Aldo’s physical condition. In response to their obedience God began healing Aldo.

Before sharing some of the messages Aldo brought back with him from heaven and some of the lessons Retha McPherson learned, I would like to share this video documenting Aldo’s recovery process after the accident.

Aldo was unable to speak after his coma so he had to write when he wanted to communicate. He began writing to tell his family and the world what he had experienced in heaven and what God had been revealing to him.

His original letters were written in Afrikaans. You can see some of them and read the English translation provided under each one. Here is The Collection of Aldo McPherson’s hand-written letters from 2005 to the present.

It looks like the letters included in this collection supplement the ones already published in Aldo and Retha McPherson’s books. There was a time not too long ago when my wife and I dreamed of spending our lives traveling the world and seeing all the wonderful and amazing things that can be found all over the world. We had already begun to fulfill our dream as we had seen interesting places in the United States, Mexico, Europe, China, and South Korea.

We loved learning about the various cultures around the world. We thought enjoying all the sights and sensations of the world would be the most fulfilling way to spend our lives. But all that began to change when one of our friends gave us a a copy of a book called “Heaven is So Real.”

The book recounts the experiences of a Korean American woman named Choo Nam Thomas who is given the privilege of seeing heaven with Jesus as her tour guide. The overriding theme of the book is that heaven is an incredibly beautiful and fun place to be and that it is better to be in heaven for eternity than any other place. But heaven is a place for people who have hearts set on higher spiritual things not on the pleasures and preoccupations of the material world.

As my wife and I read that book, we began to see clearly that we had our hearts focused on worldly pleasures and worldly experiences. If our hearts were so focused on the things of the world, how could we be sure that our hearts would be ready to enjoy the things of heaven at the end of our earthly lives? If our hearts were not focused on heaven during our lifetime on earth, how could we expect our hearts to rise up to heaven at the time of our death?

From then on, we have been focusing on heavenly things. Now we can really appreciate the meaning of the chorus line from that old hymn that says:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

We will only be on earth for a  short time. We want to use this time on earth to focus our hearts, minds and lives on the spiritual things of heaven as we bless others. We want to focus on our eternal destination and eternal condition rather than focus on temporal things that are here today and gone tomorrow.

Today, I would like to share a vision and a dream concerning an end times event.

Holy scriptures speaks of a time when Jesus Christ will come and take his followers to be united with him in the greatest wedding celebration ever.

The dream expresses our perspective on this event.

The vision expresses Christ’s perspective.

The vision comes from my wife, Lisa. She saw a home decked out with party balloons, rainbows, birthday cake, and other signs that the home was ready for a big birthday celebration.

The clock on the wall indicated that time was running out and that the party was just about ready to start.

Everyone living in the home were very excited about the party and were eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the guests.

Lisa felt Jesus’ heart. He is like a child on their birthday waiting with eager anticipation for the guests to arrive and for the party to get started.

What I really like about this vision is that unlike other end times visions it is not about doom and glooom. It is about a joyful celebration that will finally begin.

Isn’t it interesting to think that when the time runs out, that it is actually just the beginning of a new time of celebration and joy that we have never before experienced?

Do you share Jesus’ heart? Are you excited and full of anticipation for the return of Christ for his bride the church?

Now, I want to share a dream a young woman had about the coming wedding between Christ and his bride. This dream is about the same event but from our perspective as the guests and ultimately the bride.

This dream reminds me of a story Jesus told:

The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered and everthing is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

But they paid no attention and went off — one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them.

The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’

The man was speechless.

Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

For many are invited, but few are chosen.

You have a chance right now to accept the invitation and get ready. But soon it will be time to start the wedding celebration and you will either be ready for it or not. Don’t miss out on this wonderful celebration!

Since this is my first blog entry, I would like to share my purpose in keeping this blog.

I have become very excited and encouraged to find that many people all over the world are experiencing supernatural revelations of truth.

These revelations come through dreams, visions, out of body experiences, near death experiences, miraculous healings, supernatural signs, angelic visitations, and many other ways.

The purpose of this blog is to share these revelations of truth with anyone interested.

I believe the frequency of such confrontations with the supernatural world will only increase in the days ahead.

The ancient prophet Habakkuk once received a message from God that I believe will come to pass soon: ‘The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.’

More and more people will experience supernatural truths and know God’s glory until this rising tide of light covers the entire earth. That is why this blog is called ‘The Rising Light’
